How to take care of my lawn in spring?
Your lawn has been dormant throughout winter. When the soil temperature starts to warm up the grass will want water and supplemental nutrients to “wake it up” for the new season. Timely watering when temperatures are consistently above freezing at night, lawn core aeration, and a quick release nitrogen helps to get your lawn up on the right side of the bed.
How do I take care of my lawn?
The three key elements to taking proper care of your lawn are.
Correct watering (Use this link as a cheat sheet: https://wrcc.dri.edu/washoeEt/)
Regular mowing: You should only be cutting off ⅓ of the grass blade when mowing and mulching.
Regular fertilizer program that is designed for your region, and not just a big box store bag that is 5 years old from your garage.
What is “Core Aeration” and how do I know if I need it?
Core Aeration is key in our region that deals with very compacted soil. The aeration process relieves compacation and allows oxygen, water, nutrients, and fertilizer to directly reach the root system for best results.
Residential lawn mowing, fertilizer & weed control, yard clean-up’s and pruning, sprinkler repairs, lawn aeration and de-thatching, snow removal (for Somersett and Sierra Canyon Communities)
See our Lawn Services page.
What services do you offer?
We have decided to focus on the residential community and their needs. We have noticed several lawn service companies shy away from the residential after they get their feet wet in the business but then tend to prefer to go after commercial work. We have made our business model to focus primarily on residential maintenance.
What type of clients do you work for?
What kind of equipment do you use?
We use commercial Toro walk behind mowers, STIHL handheld equipment like string trimmers, backpack blowers and EGO battery powered equipment
Preferred way of payment is setting up your credit card to your account. This process makes it simple and quick for our customers to keep track of their billing and never get behind on payments. Not many lawn services do this which causes both business and owners to be shocked with their bill when invoices and payments are not familiar and frequent.
How do I pay?
What if you break something?
While our crews are operating loud and heavy equipment they might miss if they bumped into anything or broke something on your property. We have seen it all though and clearly know when something is our fault. We like to give our customers the option for us to replace it or put a credit on their account for future services.
How often do you sharpen your blades?
We sharpen blades daily!!! The average home owner will mow their yard 20 times in a season and our crew mows 20 to 30 homes a day. With that, we exchange our blades with sharp one every day at the end of the day.
